cruel world Brainwash
Dieting, In Terms Of Information
Believe it or not, processing specific information every day could be just as detrimental to your health as being insulted about your lifestyle choices each morning. Sounds pretty far-fetched, right? Understanding the science behind this claim should sway your opinion.
Watching an abundance of tragic news stories could cause you to begin to live in fear of the world around you. While it is only natural to be curious about the things that are happening in the world, especially locally, too much upsetting news is harmful to your overall mental health.
If your morning routine involves checking up on the lives of celebrities and unconsciously comparing your own to them, you are unknowingly inviting feelings of shame, resentment, and sometimes jealousy into your day-to-day life.
It doesn’t matter if you consider yourself to be fond of the celebrity in question.
If you have ever wondered why you’re officially starting every day feeling as though you “woke up on the wrong side of the bed,” consider cutting your morning screen time in half.
In the same way that copious amounts of negative information are harmful to your day-to-day life, processing too much positive or even neutral information can also be deemed hazardous. Your brain is like a computer that is always running multiple programs at once. If you run too many programs, your computer might crash or even cease to work properly, permanently. Such is the case for your mind to a noticeable extent.
To be mindful of the amount of information that you take in involves being aware of the effects that it could have on your general well-being. Minimizing screen time is only half of the solution. You must begin the process of filtering the information you are presented with and learning how not to let it affect your outlook on life. While it is important to be aware of the potential dangers that are sometimes hidden in the world around you, do not allow yourself to feel unnecessarily fearful of them.
Consider finding a more constructive use of your current scheduled-screen time; Especially if you aren’t forced to be glued to your phone for work-related purposes. In your spare time, seek out reputable news outlets that are reporting on more positive subjects. Limiting both the amount and type of information that you are processing every single day is the key to promoting a more balanced lifestyle, in terms of mental health.
